serious author, serious page
Welcome to a highly centralized situation
I was advised to get my shit in one place. I’m a good listener — a switchy-power-bottom — who, under the right circumstances, loves instructions. So, here you go, my official bio:
Shannon Brazil is a Gen X feminist author and performer whose work explores sex and sexuality, domestic anarchy, grief, motherhood, and other entanglements. Her debut novel (working title) TO JONES, a novel and a verb, has been aquired by Limit Zero Publications for early 2026 publication. Shannon carries on in Portland, Oregon with two partners, four grown kids, two little dogs, and ninety-seven houseplants. She’s bad at small talk, good at whiskey, and will dance until she blows out her left knee.
Chaos is her baseline.
WARNING: Extrovert
“Move over Miranda July. JONES is the story of an unstoppable wandering heart that breaks the walls that keep us quiet and small so that a woman can resuscitate a self. A burst of life force. An invitation to sing. This story will occupy your body and ask you how you want to change your life.”
“JONES captures completely the way marriage works and love works and the bonds we have with our children. All of it, all of it. ”
